I live in the ‘bowl’ of 1930s Dust Bowl region of southeastern Colorado. Every so many years, we get dust storms that are reminiscent of the pictures I’ve seen of the ‘Dirty Thirties’. Last Sunday evening, this dust storm arrived with a hard wind and cold front that dropped the temperature some 20 degrees in just a few minutes. I know in Arizona dust storms are called haboobs. We call ours dirty no good $$!!##*&^.

Until next time,
