This is my first time to participate in the A to Z Challenge, which kicks off April 1st and runs through April 30th.
My theme is in the culinary category (food and drink).
I will share my family’s “Hand-me-Down” recipes. I’ll date each recipe with circa (c.) along with the year I can trace it back to. Generally, these recipes will have origins prior to 1960. My recipes are free to everyone to reproduce, share, download…whatever you want to do with them is fine with me.
Until next time,
writing through history one romance upon a time
Welcome to the A to Z Challenge, and good luck with it!
It’s great, I’m always looking for trustworthy recipes, hopefully simple 🙂
You betcha! Simple is my middle name, especially when it comes to cooking. haha
I like food. Mainly vegetables (uncooked), grass and hay. In fact as we’re doing Favourite Things for the A to Z this year, there’ll be a lot of food on Georges Guinea Pig World, too.
I hope I like your recipes. Good luck with the A to Z.
Biggles (I’m a guinea pig)
Ahh, hello Biggles. It’s nice to meet you. I’ve had the joy of guinea pigs living with me. I hope you like my recipes, too. There might be one toward the middle of the alphabet that you will particularly enjoy!
Welcome to the challenge!
I love cooking and I espcially like old recipes, so I can’t wait for your posts!
See you in April 🙂
I’m way behind on replying, and for that I apologize. I didn’t inherit the baking/cooking genes from either side of my family haha but I am the one in the family who grabbed up all the old recipes and recipe books when they would have been discarded. See you in April.
Welcome to the chalelnge!!! And your theme sounds fantastic!
I love cooking, so I can’t wait to see your recipes 🙂
Sorry about the comment-reply delay. I’ll do better. I promise. 🙂 I’ll share a variety of older recipes, even though I lean toward cakes, cookies, and other sweets. haha
This sounds interesting! I don’t cook very well, but I am fascinated with old recipes.
The Multicolored Diary
My gosh. I’m so behind in returning comments. I apologize. I’ll share a variety of my family’s older recipes.
