I live in the far southeastern corner of Colorado on the plains of the Comanche National Grasslands. This means I have an unobstructed view of the prairie all the time and in all directions. I can sit on my front step, stand in the street, or go a few blocks farther to the edge of town and see a sunset or sunrise any time I want.
We often have glorious sunsets.
My neighborhood isn’t the best place in my area to watch sunsets. The best location is north of town (Springfield) about 20 miles to the turn-off on Highway 287/385 and then go east on the dirt road. From there, it’s just a hop, skip, and a climb over the fence into the next county and up the trail to the top of Two Buttes “Mountain”.

Until next time,
