Love is in Da Blog – Feb 15: Alone – Ann Wilson #LoIsInDaBl23

For the Feb. 15th musical prompt, Bee-Writes asked for a love song from a female artist.

I’m going with Ann Wilson.

The 80s big hair rock group, and sisters, Heart (Ann and Nancy Wilson) recorded many great love songs. This video is Ann singing one of those songs, Alone, which is was included on their album Bad Animals.

Alone was written and first recorded in 1983 by the group i-Ten, but it was Heart’s cover of the song in 1987 that put the song on the charts.

The lyrics tell the story of a woman in love with someone who doesn’t have a clue about her feelings. …I was gonna tell you tonight… How do I get you alone…

Until next time,

  1. This was one of my favorites to come up on the radio. Thanks for the video. I didn’t have a television in those days, as a young professional saving up money for life, so it’s always fun to see what people were watching on MTV. So much hair!
