Love is in Da Blog – Feb 27: Alternative Love Song by Texas #LoIsInDaBl23

The Feb. 27th love song prompt is an alternative love song from my 50s. I was a bit shy of my 50th year when the song I’ll See It Through by the Scottish alternative rock group, Texas, was released, but close enough. Sharleen Spiteri is the lead singer of Texas.

Texas has three songs that I really like: I’ll See It Through, In Demand, and Start a Family.

The music videos for In Demand and Start a Family feature the late actor Alan Rickman. Both songs have catchy tunes, and the addition of Alan Rickman is simply icing on the musical cake. πŸ˜‰ In the music video for In Demand, there is a scene at a gas station. O. M. Gollywolly. If you venture to YouTube to watch it, that scene is 2:13 to 3:05.

Much as I like the Sharleen Spiteri/Alan Rickman duo, I’m going with I’ll See It Through as the more romantic love song in lyrics and tune. This music video features the actor Jean Reno, which is even more icing on the musical cake.

I’ll See It Through was featured in the 2003 movie Love, Actually.

I’m disappointed that this video isn’t as clear as the two featuring Alan Rickman.

Until next time,
