Last Sunday for #Cellpic Sunday, I shared a picture of a bee feasting in the plum blossoms at my back door. Today, I’ve put up two pictures of bees drinking from one of the locations where I keep water available year-round for critters–flying, furry, and crawly.
The sticks are specifically to help bees and butterflies. They can swim/float to the sticks if they fall in the water in order to have an easy way to get out. A tired or weak bee or butterfly won’t last long treading water.
The rock is to keep the sticks in place. I live where we don’t keep track of the days the wind blows, but how many days the wind doesn’t blow.
I fill the bowls daily and replace the water twice a week.
John Steiner at Journeys with Johnbo blog invites us to post a photo we’ve taken with a mobile device such as a cellphone, tablet, dashcam, etc. and share it on #CellpicSunday.
Until next time,

What a good idea, we have Lilly pads in our pond and I’ve often wondered why the bees were just sitting on them
Wonderful idea!
