I didn’t look up the dates for when this television show aired (a long time ago):
Name that Tune
I remember Kathie Lee Gifford was the hostess. It was such a fun game show.
When a contestant was bold enough to proclaim “I can name that tune in one note”, it was a nail-biting, breath-holding, clutching your chest “This is the big one, Elizabeth” several moments (well…for me, anyway). 😉
Can the contestant do it?
Will she name that tune in one note?
Will I recognize the tune in one note?
One of the reasons I enjoyed this show so much is that I had/have a wide range of musical tastes, so I was often able to recognize tunes in very few notes.

Name That Tune was one of the oldest game shows, beginning in 1952 and on and off ever since. It might even have started on the radio… The Wikipedia article about it (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Name_That_Tune) lists eight different hosts, but Kathie Lee Gifford isn’t one of them, which doesn’t mean anything because half of what’s there might be wrong anyway…
I didn’t look any of this up, and my memory isn’t what it used to be. Although, I do recall walking uphill both ways to school in the snow. 😉 I wonder which show I’m associating Kathie Lee Gifford with. 🤔
