Baby toads are adorable.
You may need to zoom in on these pictures to see the toad ‘nests’ (burrows?) in the driveway rocks. The nests are the darker places where toads have scooted the rocks and pebbles aside down to the bare ground, so they can squish themselves into the divot and be all cozy and happy. The rocks hold the daylight heat, so at night the toads snuggle down into the nests and bask in the heat the rocks absorbed during the day.
A toad is squatting near a nest in the last picture.

Until we meet again,
I love the story. Mother Nature always has a way.
